Hearts Ease Card | Couture Creations

#kerriegurney

Hi Everyone
I am back with another quick card created for the Couture Creations blog using the gorgeous
Couture Creations Hearts Ease Collection

I have added some texture using Heart Ease Embossing Folder on patterned paper, embossing your patterned paper gives your paper a whole new look to your paper

I then added some shimmer to the base patterned paper by flicking on some purple spray and then once dry misting the whole piece with gold spray

I then die cut 1 x Rowena Ornamental Lace Die from the Amaryllis collection in patterned paper.
I inked the edges of all papers and die cuts using a sponge dauber to give a subtle shading

I also die cut 1 x Lilliputana die from the Hearts Ease collection from mauve cardstock,
I then cut it in half
and adhered both pieces and the Rowena doily to my card base using the Turbo Glue Pen which is perfect for adhering die cuts and intricate pieces

I sprayed a 6cm Camden Cottage Rose with gold spray and while wet scrunched to give the flower more life and more shabby look

To adhere the muslin to the flower I used 6mm Double Sided Tape

To finish off I die cut 1 x Cycad Leaves from the Everyday Essentials collection

I cut the leaves in half, inked and pinched the leaves to give some texture and definition
I rearrange the bottom half of the leaf spray making them more natural

here is a closer look at all the details
Once I layered the flower, muslin and doily die cut together I gave them a quick spritz of gold spray to add a bit more shimmer

Tip : when spraying your flowers if you are short on time you can dry them off quickly with a Couture Creations Heat Tool

Treasure the Time Layout | Couture Creations

#kerriegurney
#couturecreationsaus   #craftgiraffe

Hi Everyone

I just remember I hadn't shared the full photo of my layout from my Couture Creations class I taught at Craft Giraffe a few weeks ago

It was a dabble into mixed media showing you how you can create your own masks using Couture Creations dies

I love this photo of my little sister Megan and I at Lone Pine..Megan with her nappy hanging off and me with my frowny face and lioness haircut, who is old enough to remembers those?

here is a closer look at some of the details

Craft Giraffe have one kit still available with full instructions and everything you need to create the layout
(excluding the glitter texture paste and spray, which are both available to purchase from Craft Giraffe)

Pop into the store or order online if you are interested.
If you miss out on a kit you can still purchase all the products used from Craft Giraffe

Vintage Roses Card | Couture Creations

#kerriegurney
#couturecreationsaus

Hi there everyone

I created this Vintage look card for the Couture Creations Blog using the new soon to be released Hearts Ease Papers, Dies and Embossing Folders.

I just love the purples in this collection

This card is another super quick one to create once you have coloured all your Couture Creations Flowers to match the papers.
I have used these 6 different flowers and coloured some purple/aubergine to match the paper and some I have given just  a touch of  gold.

It was a bit of trial and error to get the correct shade of purple/aubergine
I started with a purple mist but it was so the wrong colour so I added some gold to tone it down but that didn't work so I mixed 5 colour sprays this is where the non stick craft mat is perfect you just spray onto the mat mix the colours together and then rub the flowers onto the colour. I give my flowers a spritz with water first so the colour soaks in more evenly and then to add more texture to the flowers give them bit of a squeeze and scrunch

I then set the flowers aside to dry or you can dry them in a  hurry with a hit of the Heat Tool

Here is a closer look at the flowers all coloured and scrunched

Onto creating the card

die cut 1 x 10.5cm section of Simone's Style lace border, 1 x Lilliputana die both in aubergine cardstock. 2 x the top section of Cycad leaves in green cardstock,
use Quick Release Die Paper so the cardstock doesn't stick into the dies.

Ink all the edges of the die cuts using brown ink and sponge dauber. Pinch the leave to add some life to the leaves.

Cut a piece of cream cardstock 10.5cm x 5cm and emboss using Garden Frame embossing folder

Cut Small Pansies paper to 10cm x 14.5cm and scrunch up to give a more vintage look

Cut pennants from Pansy Gingham, Orchard Delight and Pansy Damask papers I cut 2 x 4cm x 10cm and 1 x 2.5 x 10cm
Embossing the 2.5cm strip using the Chain Link Embossing Folder

Distress the edges of all papers and cardstock and ink the edges
and then start layering onto card base

Use the Turbo Glue Pen to adhere all your embellishments ..these pens are fabulous for adhering intricate die cuts

add all the flowers and leave on

with a touch of seam binding ribbon and muslin

finish off with some 2mm Gemstones
