Love Vintage Rose Card for Couture Creations

#kerriegurney

Hi there Kerrie here with my last post as part of the 2014 Couture Creations Design Team, tomorrow on the Couture Creations Blog is the start of the introductions for 2015 team which I am very proud to be Coordinator of again.
Make sure you pop over and welcome the new team.

For my last post I have created a card using Vintage Rose Garden Patterned Papers and the soon to be released Amaryllis Ornamental Lace Die Collection.
I am sure you will love this collection as much as I do, so pop into your local store and preorder it NOW as you don't want to miss out. I have also used the NEW Couture Creations Flowers
which are available now from your local store.

Onto creating

to start die cut 2 x Simone's Style lace borders from Gold Glitter sticker paper using Quick Release Die Paper and Metal Adapter Plate.

The metal adapter plate helps to give a crisp cut and the quick release paper makes sure the glitter paper comes straight out of the die

Die cut 1 x Rowena Lace Die again using the metal adapter plate and quick release paper, see how the die cut falls out of the die and with a few flicks all the pesky bits come out too.

Keep the Quick Release Die paper die cut and use it as a mask and add some gold metallic spray.

once dry this creates a soft subtle background

Add some green spray to colour the 6cm Camden Cottage Rose and also while it is still wet from the spray scrunch it up to give the flower more texture. You can see the difference how with some colour and some scrunching it changes the whole look of the flower, I have also added a touch of Gold Metallic spray to the tips of the flower.

I have also used the  3cm Camden Cottage Roses and the English Roses

to add some colour I sprayed the flowers using Gold Metallic spray to the whole flowers, make sure you use the Non Stick Craft Mat to do this.

I then rubbed the flowers onto the left over spray this gives more colour to the petal tips, this is why using the Non Stick Craft Matt is good as you don't waste any of the spray.

Once all your flowers are dry you can start assembling your card

I used the NEW Turbo Glue Pen to attach the Lace Doily and also the paper flowers, this glue pen is awesome.

Here are some close ups so you can see the layering

Every Day is a New Adventure Card | Couture Creations

#kerriegurney

Hi Everyone Kerrie here back with a  Couture Creations card tutorial for you.

This card while looking quite involved is super quick and easy to create.

I have used the gorgeous Couture Creations Vintage Rose Garden 6"x 6" paper pad  to create this card along with some of the NEW 2015 Die releases and the old faithful Circle Nesting Dies.

Cut background paper to size and layer onto card my card is 6"x6"

Die cut lace border strips, using patterned paper cut down to 5" long and center on Simone's Style Lace die, place Quick Release Die paper on top of die then patterned paper and lastly the top acrylic cutting plate.
By using Quick Release Die Paper your diecut paper will pop out of the die, making diecutting less time consuming as you will not have to pick everything out of the die.

Next die cut Crystal Aroma Background Die again using Quick Release Die Paper, but this time also using Metal Adapter Plate to give a clean crisp cut

See how everything cuts cleanly

and them the die cut cardstock lifts straight off the die and with a few flicks all the bits fall out of the die cut

Next you are going to cut a circle from the background die cut

and another circle this time using two of the circle nesting dies to give a circle border
(sorry I forgot to photograph that step)

Die cut 1 x Cycad Fern Die from green patterned paper.

Distress all the edges using scissors and then using a sponge dauber ink all the edges.

Layer everything onto card base.
I have used double sided foam tape on the circle layers to give some depth.

Add some flowers and pinch your leaves to give them some character and finish off with some pearls.

Cut a sentiment from green words patterned paper and fussy cut a butterfly adhering it with foam tape and pinching it's wings to give it flight
