Gift Voucher Holder and Matching Card | Couture Creations

#kerriegurney

Hi Everyone
Kerrie here with a super quick project I created for the Couture Creations Blog

For my hubby's birthday we bought him tickets to the Australian PGA Golf Tournament so he could go and watch Adam Scott play.
The tickets were the ones you print out yourself and  I wanted to present them to him in something more than folded up inside his card.

So I created this Gift Voucher Holder using Core'dinations Black Magic Cardstock
Cutting it down to just a bit wider than the A4 paper that the tickets were printed on.

Now as my die cutting machine was broken and I was waiting on a replacement,
I went to my bag of pre cut dies to find something that would work on my card and gift voucher folder

When you measure your sections allow for a double score line so that your gift voucher folder has some width so that you can fit all the folded up tickets into it.
One the side I added a piece to also allow for the thickness of the vouchers

Cut a section in the front so that you can see some of the vouchers and also making it easier to get them out

I decorated the front of the folder using Vintage Rose Garden patterned paper and Core'dinations Black Magic cardstock distress the edges of all and sanding the edge of the front flap of the folder.
Add the die cut border piece to the front of the folder.
I would have loved to emboss the cardstock on the front but as I had no machine to emboss with it had to stay plain.

I then created a matching card again using Vintage Rose Garden patterned papers and the left over piece of the  Simplicity border die cut.
You can change the look by embossing some of the patterned paper and the piece of cardstock

I finished off with some stickers

I am sure you all have a box or a bag of pre cut dies, you know the ones that didn't work with what you were doing, so you keep them all for just this occasion.
They are also perfect for when you need to create a quick card but don't want to drag everything out.
