Two Pocket Card

Hi I created this card for Couture Creations Blog.

I love creating this card for special occasions, you can get everyone to sign the tags or you can replace one of the tags with a gift card.
It is super easy to create with just a single sheet of  8.5" x 11.3/4" (A4 for us Aussies) cardstock.

fold cardstock in half long side

undo and fold in half short side
unfold and cut the side into the middle fold line

fold the bottom right corner up to the centre fold line

fold the top left corner down approx 1" to 1.5" from center fold line

fold the left top side over to the right

fold the whole bottom half up

and fold left side to the back, this gives you your pockets...easy :)

place whole card excluding the back flap in Extra Loren embossing folder

Emboss

Sand whole from of card using sanding block to bring out the core colour

Place tape as show and adhere into place

Die cut 1 Fantasia Dazzling Doily Die and cut 1 third off and use the bigger half on the front of the card

Cut Tags to fit pockets 1 x 5.1/4" x 2.1/2" 1 x 5 3/4" x 3", cut some pennants with scrap paper and die cut a label using Victorian Rectangle Nesting Die, embellish with flowers, chipboard butterflies and crystal gemstones. Finish off with some Crystalina Glitter Glue

Good Times

This is a simple layout I created for Couture Creations Blog with just a bit of die cutting, embossing and distressing. I was going to add a title but I like this clean and simple look.

I love embossing patterned paper it give it a whole new look and of course texture. I distressed all the edges of my papers using scissors

Cut one Sophia Fences dies in patterned paper

I embossed all the striped strips of patterned paper and lightly sanded them to give a shabby distressed look.

I cut one Victorian Rectangle nesting die and cut it in half to use as a tab on my journalling tag and also as a date card.  I also die cut one Sophia Trudon decorative dies but only used a small section to add some interest to my journalling tag

Two Princesses

I am sharing a project with you today that I created for Couture Creations Blog with two of my favourite princesses, my daughter Taylah and my new Great Niece Willow. Willow was just 10 days old when these photos were taken. She is just so tiny and so precious. Taylah was just bursting to have her turn at holding Willow.

Cut a piece of white carsdstock to 11"x11" and spread a layer of texture paste/modelling paste over page. (not too thick or too thin)

Spray water onto Joes Garden embossing folder and press into texture paste, spray folder with water each time before pressing into paste, this helps to stop folder sticking

while still wet spray with mist

close up look, dry off with heat tool or stick out in the sun

die cut a Dazzling doily die and cut in half

cut one Athena decorative die and cut it in half

cut 3 pennants and run two through embossing folders, I have used Joes Garden and Extra Loren folders lightly sand the cardstock pennant

add some bakers twine trinket pins and glitter glue to paper flower

Cecelia's 80th Birthday Album

My Sister In Law asked me if I could create an album for her Aunt Cecelia who was turning 80. Sue gave me 10 photos as I didn't know the people or the history I created some tags so Sue or her Aunt Cecelia could add the journaling. I just love old photos, so this was a pleasure to create, I kept is fairly simple as I wanted the photos to be the feature on every page.

I bought a lovely pink album as this is Cecelia's favourite colour and i liked that i could add her name as well as the occasion. I added ribbon down the side to give it a soft touch.

You may have noticed I  have a thing  for pennants :)

I used Teresa Collins Far and Away patterned paper for the cover,
embellishing with Couture Creations Embossing Folder, Doily Die,Washi Tape, Seam Binding and some charms.

I have popped some of the journaling cards in the pocket along with some die cuts for decorating my pages as I am travelling, I am also taking a few rolls of Washi Tape.
