Willow | Couture Creations/Core'dinations Blog Hop

Welcome to Day 6 our final day of the Couture Creations & Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock Blog Hop! and my turn to share my project.
We’re so excited to team up with Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock to share some inspiring projects with you this week, marrying our products together, what could be more perfect our Embossing Folders and Dies and Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock.

I am so happy to be sharing my blog hop project, I love love love Core'dinations cardstock so this blog hop is perfect for me, I have such a stash of Core'dinations cardstock as it works so well with our Couture Creations embossing folders. Anyway enough from me onto my project. I created an off the page layout  for my Mum as she recently celebrated not only her 70th birthday but the birth of her second Great Granddaughter. Mum got to meet her new little princess at her birthday celebration lunch. Willow is just 10 days in this photo so new and so perfect.
I used an embroidery hoop as my Mum is a Quilter and sewer so it is perfect for her to hang on her wall.

start by marking around the embroidery hoop and cut out the circle

lay Core'dinations Colour Core cardstock on top of embossing folder and sand to bring the embossed patterned out with the core colour showing through. This technique gives you a soft look to your projects.

clean off dust with  Dust Buddy and pop into embroidery hoop, you may need to cut some small nicks into the side to help in go onto the hoop. I also painted my hoop white, but you can leave it plain.

Die cut Tattered Lace Doily Die with Yellow Whitewash cardstock cut in half

and sand, clean off with Dust Buddy

Die cut two Sophia Connexion dies using Green Whitewash cardstock

Die cut 6 Rose shapes using the Rose Nesting Dies cutting 2 ea of the two bigger dies and 1 ea of the next two sizes.

Sand the edges of all pieces and layer together, poke a hole through the middle and pop in some stamens.

spray with water all layers srunching them into the center as you spray

giving you a scrunched ball slowing unscrunch giving you flower shape

cut a strip of patterned paper 1" x 12" and make into a banner pennant, apply double sided tape to the ends and foam mounting tape the to the centre of the banner.

layer everything onto your hoop, I used a hot glue gun for the flower to make sure it stayed on. Create a tag for hidden journalling

add some Crystal Glitzin' Glamour glitter glue to flower
