Trick or Trick Banner

Yesterday I attended Scrap for a Cure a marathon crop fundraiser for Ovarian Cancer. What a fabulous day it was. Michelle Moore the organiser of the event did an outstanding job, such a professionally run event. Which was obvious from the moment you saw the promotional flyer advertising the event, right up to all the promotional signage and especially once you entered the venue.

I didn't create much but i had a great time chatting and shopping two of the things i do best ☺

Here is a look at what i created yesterday - I was there for 9 hours and this is all that i made ...

here is a look at my hands this morning ... after much washing they are still black ☺

more creating

here is another layout from our cruise photos

this time i have used Bo Bunny A Gift of Love Pattern Papers and for the flowers i used my new Martha Stewart fringe scissors, which i just love,  i cut a strip of patterned paper, rolled it up and then for one flower i rolled each "petal" to make a curled flower and for the other flower i left the "petals" straight matching the patterned paper.
ETA - Check Carole Jansen's blog for a tutiorial on making these flowers

here are some other flowers i have made ...
the sm lilac flower is made using the fringing scissors this time cutting wide satin ribbon and then i held the ribbon over a flame which gives a curled look.
for the dk Purple flower uses wide satin ribbon this time cutting approx 1 cm apart and then holding over a flame - see here for Rhonna's tutorial
lastly i made this one using my lg scallops nestabilities and tissue paper, i just folded a sheet of tissue paper up to a small square and then ran it through the cuttlebug with the die, then popped a brad in the middle to hold all the pieces together and then starting from the top scrunched each piece, then i sprayed it with gold maya mist for a slight sparkle ☺ I saw this on a blog but cannot remember which one sorry.

more cruise layouts

here are some more cruise layouts again using Basic Grey Cappella Collection, i am thinking that i will use this collection for all my photos from the cruise... or at least until i run out ☺

Taylah's 10th birthday

all of the above photos were taken NYE on the ship - don't you love Taylah's fringe in the last layout ... she took to it with a pair a nail scissors while we were off the ship at Da Nang, she stayed on board as she didn't like Vietnam, too many people grabbing her ☺
